Puppy meeting in june 2016, puppies are expected in july

We have had a fantastic relaxing weekend hiking with our dogs, grilling and of course a lot of talk about dogs and very nice company from Nadia, Madde and Gustaf. We understood that many more would have liked to be involved but since the meeting was scheduled with little short notice, there were many who were busy with other things (we'll try to plan futher ahead next time). Madde, Gustaf, Frej and Igor came already on Saturday afternoon so we had time for an evening swim for the dogs in Acksjön. On Sunday morning, Nadia and Penny joined. We went for a about 13km long hike with the dogs. Halfway we stopped and grilled. It was a wonderfully beautiful June day with perfect hiking temperature and both dogs and people enjoyed the day. In the evening we saw the film The Great Alone (a documentary about Lance Mackey, multiple winner of the Iditarod).

Puppies are expected in july

Now both Bielkersmils Jatka of Birk , Bielkersmils Coronation of Allsvinn and Bielkersmils of Etna Pepper parade. 

Jatka is expected to give birth to their pups around 1/7-16 and the puppies will then be ready for delivery about 26/8-16 .   

Corona is expected to give birth to her puppies around the 11/7-16 and the puppies will then be ready for delivery about 5/9-16 .    

Etna is expected to give birth to their pups around the 28/7 and the puppies will then be ready for delivery about 22/9 .

Now both Jotka & Geist and Corona & Ergo are mated. Expected birth of Jotkas´puppies is 1/7  and Coronas´ puppies 12/7. The puppies will be ready for delivery no earlier than 8 weeks after birth.

Polardog show in Ånnaboda 160505

Last Thursday I was at a show in Ånnaboda with Sälka (Bivvilis Eminha of My Bluf now 11,5years old), Nallo (Kannibalnes'Karloff of Illusion who turned 12 on the the fifth-May) and Etna (Etna Bielkersmils of Pepper). 

Lars and Lotta with Bielkersmils Irja of Zouroff (aka Indra) and Bielkersmils Ice of Zouroff (aka Ice) and Nadia with Bielkersmils Moneypenny of Nallo aka Penny were also at the show. 

The sun shone from a clear blue sky and a chilly wind made the temperature comfortable for the dogs. Both Sälka and Nallo was overjoyed to come along for the "adventure" and Etna was as always happy, jumpy and affectionate. 

Sälka placed as best veteran of the opposite sex BOS critique: Nice model, typical for the breed head .Compact well feathered ears. Excellent neck, shoulder. Hold the line well. Correct tail. Well muscled. Showing no age. Fine movements from the side. Nice coat structure. Salute to the owner to keep the dog in good shape. Good luck in many years! 

Nallo was second best veteran dog Excellent, HP. Nallos criticism: Powerful masculine carrying his 12 years with flying colors. Good head. uses his ears correctly. Good neck, strong topline. Excellent bone and stands well on his legs. Good drive. Energetic all over. My salute to the owner who holds him in such good condition. 

Etna was third best bitch with R-CC. Her critique: 6 years Good condition, beautiful head. Ok ears well feathered. Good neck ok shoulders. Tight nice topline. Muscled thighs. Substance full. Slightly unbalanced forwards and backwards in the movement. 

 Congratulations to Lotta and Lars who brought home Indra's third CAC, which meant that she became Swedish champion and Ice was second best male with reserve CAC. 

Penny was 4th best bitch with Excellent. 

We also showed the four younger dogs in the Breeder's gruop which we finally won. The group then became Best in Show with the following criticism: Group of three combinationer. Very typical. Beautiful heads. Good strong toplines. Lovely bone structures. Excellent tight paws. Good pasterns. Nice low hocks. Good coat structures. My salute to the breeder. May this great breeding efforts continue!

 I was particularly happy about the judge's review of our breeding program and her comments about our two veterans that both wear their age with flying colors. 

Judge was Eli-Marie Klepp from Norway. 

Many thanks to Lars, Lotta and Nadia who stayed with their dogs to the finals, so that the group could be involved and thanks for the nice company

Mating beween Jotka and Geist

On the 29/4 Jotka and Geist mated, so now we hope for puppies in early July.

Below you can find pictures of Geist , Jotka and from the start of Polardistans 160 (which was 175km this year). The team won Polardistans with a victory margin of more than 10hours and a total time of 19hours and 25 minutes including the mandatory rest period of 10 minutes.

Nice hike

Now we have started the summer training. Today we went for a nice hike with Sälka, Mieto, Jotka and Mocca. We stopped at a nice spot to have our dinner. We made a small fire and on that we grilled fish while the dogs rested their backs from their bags. It was a really nice hike.

Beautiful spring day with nice visit 160409

Today we had a very nice visit from Sanna and Rasmus who are waiting for a puppy from Bielkersmils kennel. We went training with some of the samoyeds and then we went for a nice hike in the woods for about 5 hours. We stopped by a small pond and grilled some sausages after having tried to make a fire for quite some time. It was very hard since all wood was wet but at last we managed.
